Annual Street Collection

We held our annual street collection in Bransgore on 19th September. The event required a permit, and a COVID 19 risk assessment, together with appropriate measures to mitigate any risks.

Our team wore visors and kept to the social distancing guidelines. Many people asked if we had a machine for accepting bank cards as they did not carry cash these days. We didn’t, but we will have next time and have already approached the Council about including this facility on our street collection permit. We had to shorten our collecting time as we needed more volunteers to help, but didn’t have them.

Nonetheless our wonderful community donated the amazing sum of £577.34 on the day and four donations came in via JustGiving which gave us an overall total of £637 ! Exceeding last year’s total and during such difficult times. Thank you everyone. The money will be used to maintain the community first responder service across our area of the New Forest.
