Apr pic2In addition to providing an operational service as CFR’s and providing awareness and training in the use of defibrillators and CPR, we also help out our ambulance service education deportment by playing the role of patients and others during the training sessions for Emergency Care Assistants and other staff. This is undertaken at the Safewise training Centre in Bournemouth and while we aim to help the students, we also get to learn a lot too – which makes us better CFR’s when it comes to responding to our patients’ emergencies.

We were invited to be involved in the Business Live event at Bransgore Village Hall on 24th March. Proceeds from this excellent event came to our group and over £300 was donated. Thanks to Sarah of Oscars Pet Foods.

We also received a significant cheque from the yearlong efforts of Bransgore Townswomen’s Guild. Thank you to all the ladies involved and the money will help to equip our trusty Freelander with a modern data terminal unit as fitted in the front line ambulances.

Thanks also to Ringwood branch of the Royal British legion for their donations following our presentation of defibrillation and CPR last month.
