A busy month one way and the other. Some of the team, acting as the Bransgore Community First Aid Association attended the Bransgore School fireworks evening on Friday 3rd to provide First Aid cover at the event and ended up helping a person locally following an accident in the street nearby.
On Monday 6th we are all going through our twice-yearly requalification exam and test. We are all confident that we will pass and continue to provide our community with the First Responder service you have come to expect.
Later in that week we are hosting a special presentation from Mark Ainsworth-Smith, Consultant in pre-hospital care who will give us a special presentation on the subject of heart attack. This is being opened up to CFR groups across the South and South-West of Hampshire and follows a very successful evening recently where Mark spoke on the subject of Sepsis.
Knowledge is Power they say and while we work within our protocols, to understand more about the types of emergencies we attend, can only benefit us and the patient.

Wreath2016 now transparentOn Sunday 12th November 11am the team will be in attendance at Bransgore War Memorial to remember and pay our respects to those who made the ultimate sacrifice, that we may live the lives we do today. We will lay a wreath on behalf of the Community First Responders and the Ambulance Service locally.

No one likes to think about Christmas too early, but we do hope you will consider some important things now that the clocks have changed.

RS Find HousePlease make sure your house name or number are clearly visible from street level and /or that lights are on and/ or curtains open if you call the emergency services. When minutes count, if we can't find you we cannot help you.

And plan ahead to ensure that you have enough prescription medicine available over the Christmas period.

Failing to plan.....is planning to fail.
Take Care
