Great Bransgore Beer, Wine and Cider Music Festival

We are preparing for this event which is being held (22-24th) at the Three Tuns Inn, Ringwood Road, Bransgore by the Bransgore Rotary Club. Click here for more information.

BeerfestAs usual our team will be running the prize draw over the 3 days. Winners are drawn on the Sunday afternoon and £1 a square gives you the chance to win some great prizes. If you run a business or a restaurant etc and would like to donate a prize for the competition we will be happy to hear from you. All proceeds from the competition go to our group funds to help pay for some of the new equipment and training we will be getting in the coming months. That means we will be able to serve our community better at a time when they may be facing a life threatening medical emergency.

Other news

We have put some new racking in the back of our Freelander to allow more space for the additional equipment we know is coming. The racking can be removed quickly in case the ambulance service need our assistance to convey a patient and paramedic from a difficult location, back to the land or air ambulance as we have done recently. We now need to find someone to build some cage work so we can make space in our Corsa.

We recently said goodbye to Emma as she left us to continue her studies to become a nurse and we thank her for her contribution. Our latest recruit is Hollie who is undertaking her induction training later this month.

Tony and Bill have recently completed a First Aid at Work course so that they can join others in the team providing event first aid cover in return for a donation to group funds.

This month, the team have been on call to help with life threatening medical emergencies for 600 hours, that's about 80% of each day across the whole month. Not bad for a holiday period.

Don't forget the old round pound coins will cease to be legal tender on October 15th.
We remain happy to take them either before that day, or after.
