Last month saw Her Majesty’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations take place. 1-7th June was also Volunteers week and it was in that week that three of our volunteers received the Queens Platinum Jubilee medal from their Operations Manager, Jack Ansell.

The medal has been awarded to frontline emergency services personnel that have been in paid service, retained or in a voluntary capacity, in recognition of the service dealing with emergencies as part of their conditions of service, and have completed five full calendar years of service on 6 February 2022.

We are all honoured and proud to receive the medal especially as in addition to the Platinum Jubilee weekend, it was also the end of Volunteers Week 2022.

Our annual licensed street collection is due to be held outside the shops in Bransgore on Saturday 9th July from about 7.30am to 3pm. In addition to seeking to raise money for our charity which funds what we do, we are desperately seeking new volunteers to come and join our award winning group. Of course full training and uniform are provided and we are happy to take any questions you may have about what we do and how we work.

We look forward to meeting many of you on Saturday 9th and in addition to our collecting boxes we hope to have the faciliaty to take dobations via cashless card machine. Maybe we will see you at Burley School fete on 2nd July or at Burton Scouts Carnival also on 2nd.
