On 31st August we were privileged to represent the ambulance service and our CFR Team at the Annual Commemoration Service at the Airfields Memorial at Holmsley South, on the site of the old RAF South Holmsley airfield. We joined military representatives, Service organizations and elected representatives and others who were there to pay respects.
Nice to stand alongside others doing the First Aid.
The Service was also subject of a flypast by the remaining airworthy Avro Lancaster from the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight.
If you have never visited the Friends of The New Forest Airfields Museum, or visited the Airfields Memorial at Black Lane, we urge you to do so, to see just how big the contribution of the New Forest was to help winning the war and securing freedom for us all. See www.fonfa.co.uk
We hope to have a presence at the Bransgore Rotary Beer Festival 2024 and meet a few of you.
We still would like to hear from anyone interested in joining us as a Community based First Responder for the ambulance service.
