Saturday 8th July, between 7.30 and 3pm sees our annual licensed street collection outside the shops in Bransgore. The collection is organised for us, and the proceeds donated to the Charity to which we belong. We always meet a few of the people we have served over time and it’s good to have a chat with them.
Please try and make a donation as every penny is vital to enable the Community First Responder service to continue in this area. Thank You.
We have started an intensive recruiting campaign locally. Letters have gone out via the schools and pre-schools; press releases and social media updates have been circulated and posters put up on noticeboards and the local public houses. And now we are slowly working our way around the street delivering localised leaflets as and when we can, seeking volunteers to join us.
We are pleased to report that we already have one person about to submit an application and another seriously considering it. We are hoping that over the course of the campaign we could get between six and eight individuals who are committed enough to help serve their community after the necessary training is given.
Remember that you do this volunteer role at times that suit you.
Bransgore needs your help with more volunteers who can be on call for just 20 hours over the month in case needed at a local medical emergency. Training over two weekends gets you a nationally recognised qualification and uniform is provided. Leave us a message on 0844 500 9699 and we will get back to you with more information.
