Job Opportunity
The Bransgore Community First Responders are seeking occasional help from someone with experience in the media or PR field, to manage the preparation of press releases, their approval and publication.
The role would suit a retired person, or someone younger/still working who wishes to contribute to the voluntary work which supports the local community. You would be expected to liaise with members of the group, ambulance service personnel, local business and resident community, and media contacts.
You will identify opportunities for press releases and photo opportunities with a view to maintaining the high profile of the group and supporting fund raising and publicity activities. The nature of the group and the work would limit the need for your support to just several occasions throughout the year, but more if you felt able.
You would be a member of the group and ideally attend a monthly meeting where a range of matters are discussed. As a result you would need to be willing to undergo Criminal Records Bureau and satisfactory character check.
