We were ready for the New Forest Show 2008. With help from many "friends" we managed to borrow an ambulance- the very latest, not yet in service, type to put on our stand alongside our Response car sponsored by Gates of Brockenhurst, We demonstrated CPR to many, and all wanted a go themselves. We hope that we have stimulated some interest in them to learn the Simple Skills That Save Lives. We did not raise a penny, we were there to raise the profile of Community Responder Schemes in Hampshire, Dorset and nationally too! We certainly did that. Thank you to all who visited us and to Heartstart Bransgore-New Forest who shared some of their training equipment with us.
All ready to go!
We had an excellent stand this year, and a big attraction was the latest state of the art ambulance brought to us by its current owner Jules with permission of South Central Ambulance Service. This is a superb piece of equipment and this type of vehicle will shortly be seen across the New Forest area and beyond. It certainly drew the crowds.
