Bransgore Community First Responders

Registered Charity No: 1049778-1
Bransgore, in the New Forest, Hampshire, England
May 2009

We welcome Rachel and Antony to the group as our latest recruits. They will soon have undergone their initial training and be joining us on the rota. If you would like to join them, or wish an information pack on what is involved please call 01425 659899 and we will get one to you. We still need a couple more volunteers to help us provide as much cover as we can.

Perhaps you have been following the stories in press and local radio about the possible loss of our sponsored response car. Until we can raise the funds to purchase a new vehicle it has been decided that we should try and purchase our existing vehicle from the sponsor. With donations we have already been receiving, specifically intended to help us with a car, and with monies raised by individual group members in a variety of ways, we nearly have enough to buy the vehicle. Jonathan Gates and his team continue to support the Bransgore community by offering us the vehicle at a very reasonable cost, and they will continue to conduct the monthly safety checks which it has to undergo. It is a shame that other, more local motor dealers felt unable to help us, but we are indebted to Gates of Brockenhurst for their ongoing help and hope you will support them when you consider purchasing a new car, in the same way that they have supported us and our local community over these past years.

We would like to make clear that only money that has been donated specifically towards the vehicle will be used for that purpose. All other money generally donated goes towards our day to day costs which enable us to continue to provide the service. Our volunteers are unpaid and give their time freely so donated money is solely used to replace and purchase necessary equipment. We will always make clear at any collection whether proceeds from that event are destined to support the car fund.
