Watch the press and media reports later this month as we hope to make a splash in the papers with some really good news. Good for us and good for the community. We will also update this website so please revisit later in the month for our updates.
We hope that we will see many of you outside the shops in Bransgore on Saturday 18th July when we hold our annual collection day. This year the collection is in aid of our response car fund and all proceeds will help us keep it on the road. You can also see the equipment we carry and even have a go at CPR on our training equipment as we will have a display outside the butchers. We look forward to meeting you on the day. We start at 7am.
As we move into the school holidays and the number of visitors to our area increases significantly the number of calls we attend will rise - it usually does. This year people are likely to watch the pennies and stay in the UK, instead of going abroad. We could see the local population rise by 50-75% for the summer as many make use of the nearby camping and caravan sites. It is also the time when we have less volunteer responders available and those remaining will probably put in more hours to provide a reasonable degree of cover. For this reason, as we always do, we ask anyone interested in joining us in what we do, to give us a call to discuss it, or download out informative leaflet from our Home page.
However you must not delay calling for an ambulance if you need one. Central chest pain could be a serious problem, loss of speech or facial movement combined with weakness in limbs can also indicate that there is a problem that requires prompt medical attention. Call 999 at once and do not think you are troubling the emergency services. Prompt action can save lives. Remember Doubt Kills -Call 999 immediately!
