Bransgore Community First Responders

On a wet Monday night recently we were invited to join the fire-fighters at Ringwood fire station as they practised how to extricate a trapped driver from a car at the scene of a mock up road accident. We were able to enhance our skills in respect of the management of patients with suspected neck and spine injuries. We were joined by our paramedic trainer. We are pleased to welcome 2 new volunteers to our group. Derek and Julie will shortly be attending their initial training course provided by the ambulance service, and will then join us providing responder cover in our area. As always, they will be supported on their first few calls by an experienced responder until they feel able to work alone.
We still need perhaps 3 more volunteers to help us make up a team capable of providing the maximum amount of cover that we can. Please do consider joining us. Have a look through our website and then, if interested contact our Co-ordinator whose details are on our contact pages.
