Heartstart
We are now closer than ever to being able to offer our community free emergency life support training in one 2 hour training session absolutely free! Some of our Responders, supported by medical and ambulance service professionals, will be trained as instructors and will offer the sessions locally in Bransgore, or at venues provided by those interested in undertaking the training Burley, Christchurch,Burton and other areas around.
The scheme application for affiliation to Heartstart UK has been submitted this week and when approved the Heartsart scheme will be run as a separate group to our Responders group, although complementing their work.
Heartstart UK is an initiative co-ordinated by the British Heart Foundation (BHF) to teach members of the public what to do in a life-threatening emergency: simple skills that save lives.
As soon as we are able, we will publicise the launch of the Heartstart scheme and we hope as many of you as possible will take the chance to learn how to save a life.
We thank Probus Bournemouth 2 whose members have made a number of donations to the group as a result of us giving them a presentation on what we do.
