Bransgore Community First Responders

As we approached the end of 2006 our efforts to raise enough money to buy a second Responder's emergency bag were successful due to two very generous organisations.
We are pleased to report that the Gannett Foundation, who run the Newsquest group of companies and the Daily Echo, awarded our group a £1600 grant specifically to pay for a second defibrillator. We extend our grateful thanks to them for their generosity.
At the same time we were given a further £1650 from Bransgore Rotary Club which we will use to pay for the second responders bag and the items needed to fill it, including the oxygen system and other life saving items. Carol Hetherington the wife of a local Rotarian completed (very bravely we think) a sponsored parachute jump and gave the £825 she raised to Bransgore Rotary Club who in turn matched that amount and donated it all to our group.
