RS Award2016Our coordinator was recently presented with the New Forest District Council Chairman's Volunteers’ Award at a ceremony recently, having been nominated by Bransgore Parish Council. Mike Jukes said, "I am very grateful to receive this award and thank the Parish and NFDC Chairman for it. It takes a contribution from the whole team to do what we do and this award is as much theirs, as it is mine."

Hampshire & Isle of Wight Air Ambulance

RS IMG 3501We were privileged to have Bruce Armstrong OBE, Critical Care Practitioner from Hampshire & Isle of Wight Air Ambulance give a presentation to our Group on 16th January. Also present were police and local elected representatives as well as CFR's from elsewhere in the New Forest. We learned how the management of battlefield trauma in Afghanistan and Iraq was transferred back home to produce a network of Major Trauma unit hospitals, supported by Air Ambulances to greatly improve the survival chances of those needed critical major trauma care.
