New Pulse Oximetry Devices

We were fortunate is receiving a grant from Bransgore Parish Council to purchase the first of four new pulse oximetry devices that the group are purchasing. The units will show the oxygen saturation in a patient's blood and their pulse rate. They are used on most patients we attend and assist in deciding whether we need to administer oxygen. Inappropriate oxygen can be harmful to certain patients.
These four units mean every set of our medical kits will have the best device available to us. The units are not cheap. They are about £350 each. We have received donations or promises which enable us to pay for one other.
