There are currently ten fully trained Community First Responders in Bransgore and one awaiting requalification. Mike, Jackie R, Debbie, Derek, Jo, Tony, Denis, Sara, Peter and Gemma regularly attend emergency calls in our area. We also receive support from Mel who has joined as a non-operational member to help with some of the media and publicity related matters we undertake to keep the group in the public eye and help raise funds as needed. Although primarily non-operational, Mel has undertaken the full training so she can appreciate the work we do. We have four ne volunteers in the pipeline and they will appear on this page and when they have completed their initial training.

Some of our team have taken on extra responsibilities. Mike acts as the group co-ordinator, the link between us and the ambulance service and outside agencies, manages our sponsorship and grant applicatons and looks after our Group response cars. Debbie is our finance officer making sure we manage our money well, Jackie D is our training officer, Tony has taken on the vital fund raising role. Derek is a member of the small Group of 4 who manage quick time decisions when necessary.
The amount of time individual responders give is up to them and depends on their circumstances. For example some who are at home during the day cover the daytime hours, those who work during the day cover the evenings or weekends, and we have those who cover right through the night. Our aim is to provide full 24/7 cover whenever we can achieve it. Those joining since mid 2010 are asked to commit to a certain number of on-call hours per month.
